The CHANEL Watch Creation Studio achieves a masterstroke and unveils the world’s first Haute Horlogerie chessboard. A unique object crafted from ceramic and white gold set with diamonds, the result of thousands of hours’ work by the virtuoso artisans of the Manufacture in Switzerland. More than a technical feat, it is an exercise in style: The 32 meticulously sculpted pieces draw inspiration from the symbols of the House. Discover the lion. First modeled by a Place Vendôme artisan, the piece was sculpted in white gold then rhodium-plated for perfect brilliance. The snow-set diamonds catch the light, enhancing the contours and revealing Mademoiselle’s favorite animal in all its majesty. Discover the couture mannequin. Inspired by the couture workshops of Rue Cambon, this ceramic creation was sanded for a perfect matte effect then embellished with extremely delicate gold wires, positioned by hand, one by one.
